Alright, so I’ve been eyeing this OMEGA Speedmaster 310.92.44.50.01.001, the Apollo 8 “Dark Side of the Moon” – Rocket, for a while now. I finally took the plunge and got it from the official flagship store. Let me tell you about the whole process.
First off, I’ve been a huge fan of the Speedmaster series. I mean, it’s the original moonwatch! So, naturally, I already have a couple in my collection. But this Apollo 8 version? It just called out to me with its unique design, especially that whole “Dark Side of the Moon” vibe.

Now, the waiting game. It felt like forever, but finally, the package arrived! I ripped it open like a kid on Christmas morning. And there it was, in all its glory. The black ceramic case, the yellow accents, that stunning dial. It was even more beautiful in person. I put it on immediately. It’s comfortable on the wrist, feels solid, but not too heavy. Perfect.
I’ve been wearing it for a few days now, and I’m absolutely loving it. I keep finding myself just staring at it, admiring the details. The way the light plays off the different textures is mesmerizing. It was not cheap, but man, it’s a statement piece. Definitely a conversation starter.
