Well, let me tell ya ’bout this here watch, the Patek thingy, yeah, the Patek Philippe PP Calatrava 6007G-011. Folks say it’s a classic style, and I reckon they’re right. It looks real nice, shiny and all.
Now, some folks, they like fancy stuff. This watch, it ain’t cheap, no sirree. Costs a pretty penny, they say. More than my old mule, that’s for sure! But if you got the money, and you wanna show it off, well, this here watch, it’ll do the trick. It’s like wearin’ a whole farm on your wrist, shiny and gold.
Is it worth all that money? That’s what folks keep askin’. Well, it depends, I say. If you got money to burn, and you like shiny things, then maybe. But if you gotta choose between this here watch and feedin’ your family, well, feed your family, that’s what I say. A full belly is worth more than any watch, no matter how shiny.
Some folks say it’s made real good. Craftsmanship, they call it. Means it’s put together real careful, with lots of little parts and whatnot. Like my old clock, the one my grandpa give me, only fancier. That clock, it lasted longer than my old dog, and that dog lived a good long life. So maybe this here watch, it’ll last a long time too.

They say this Patek thing is better than them Rolex watches, or them Omega ones. Says it’s more precise, more… somethin’-or-other. Well, I don’t know nothin’ ’bout that. A watch is a watch, I say. Tells ya the time, that’s all it needs to do. But I reckon some folks like fancy insides, just like some folks like fancy clothes. Makes ’em feel special, I guess.
Now, you can’t just walk into a store and buy this watch, no sir. You gotta wait. Like waitin’ for the rain in a dry spell. They say you gotta wait for months, maybe even a whole year! Can you believe that? Waitin’ a whole year for a watch! I could plant a whole field of corn and harvest it in that time. But I guess if you got the money and the patience, you can wait. It ain’t like waiting for the bus, this waiting is something else!
This here new watch, the 6007, they say it’s a new version, modern looking. Well, it still looks like a watch to me. Round and shiny, with numbers on it. But I guess them city folk, they like new things. Always changin’ things up, they are. Me, I like things the way they are. Good and solid and reliable. Like my old tractor. That thing’s been workin’ for years, and it ain’t let me down yet.
So, this Patek Philippe Calatrava… is it a good watch? I reckon so. Is it worth the money? That’s up to you. If you want a fancy watch that’ll make folks stare, then maybe. But if you just want a watch to tell the time, well, there’s plenty of cheaper ones out there. Me, I’d rather spend my money on a good pair of boots. Boots last longer than any fancy watch, and they keep your feet dry, too. And that’s more important than a fancy watch to me, ya hear?
But hey, if you like it, you get it. It’s your money, after all. Just don’t go complainin’ to me if it breaks. I told ya, a watch is a watch. And this one, it’s just a real expensive watch. Folks love their luxury watch and Patek Philippe is a name they always say when talking about such things. But for me, well, I will stick to what I know.
So there ya have it. My thoughts on this here fancy watch. Take it or leave it, I don’t care much. I gotta go feed the chickens now. They’re more important than any watch, that’s for sure.
