Okay, so I’ve been obsessed with the Prada Cahier bag for a while now, and I finally decided to take the plunge and try to remake one myself. Let me tell you, it was quite the adventure.
First, I hopped online and started looking at tons of pictures of the real Prada Cahier bag. Studied every single detail – the shape, the stitching, the hardware, everything. I even went to a Prada store to check it out in person, just to make sure I got a good feel for it.
Then, the real work began. I needed to find materials that looked and felt as close to the real deal as possible. This involved hitting up tons of online stores and a couple of local shops. Scoured the internet for places that sold high-quality leather, and I also searched for the right kind of metal hardware, like buckles and corner protectors. It took some time, but I finally managed to gather all the materials I needed.
Next up was actually putting the bag together. I started by cutting the leather pieces according to a pattern I had found online and adapted to my taste. I was stitching the pieces together slowly. It was pretty time-consuming, but I wanted to make sure everything was perfect. Then came the hardware. Attaching the metal pieces was a bit tricky, but I eventually figured it out.
After many hours of work, I finally finished my Prada Cahier bag remake. It wasn’t exactly like the original, but I was pretty happy with how it turned out. It definitely captured the vibe of the Prada bag, and it was something I was proud to have made myself.

Although Prada bags do not hold their value very well, they are still well-made. So, I think doing a remake myself was totally worth it.
