That Patek Philippe, you know, that fancy watch thing. My grandson, he’s always going on about it. Says it’s a real good watch. He keeps yapping about this one, the Calatrava 5227G-010. Sounds like a mouthful, don’t it?
Well, this here Patek Philippe, he says, is top of the line. Says it will last me my lifetime. I am like, that’s nice. But I already have my old watch. But he says this Patek Philippe is special. My grandson, he showed me the official flagship store online, and those watches, they sure are shiny! All them numbers and such, I don’t rightly understand. But he say those folks at Patek Philippe know what they’re doing. Says it’s some of the best in the world.
So, this Calatrava, it’s got a white gold case. That’s what he called it. White gold. Fancy, huh? And a black face, he said “lacquered,” like those old plates my mama used to have. It’s got gold numbers, he said, “index hour markers.” I just see numbers. And there’s a little window that shows the date. That’s kinda handy, I suppose. My eyes ain’t what they used to be. He said it’s at 3 o’clock. Like I know what that means! This watch, he says it got this Patek Philippe caliber 324 S C, beats at 28,800 vph. That don’t mean nothing to me. I think it is like a heart beat, but for a watch.
My grandson, he’s a smart one. He told me, this Patek Philippe is some kind of famous. People collect these Calatrava. I reckon, if folks collect it, it must be good. My grandson said he read online that some Calatrava are like treasures. Folks will pay good money to have these. I can’t imagine why, but folks do strange things.
He also went on about how there’s only so many of these Calatrava 5227G-010 out there. Something about 46 of them sold by 12 dealers worldwide. Big numbers, lots of places. Said some are sold on Chrono24 and Bezel. I don’t know what those are, but they sound important. He also said that you can only buy a real one of these Patek Philippe from special stores. Like the one near Columbus, at 6280 Sawmill Road. I think he showed me that before. He said it is the official flagship store. He said it has something to do with a warranty. I am like, what’s that? I don’t know what that is. He said it is like a promise. They promise to fix it if it breaks.

I still don’t know much about this Patek Philippe Calatrava. But my grandson, he sure seems to think it’s something special. Maybe one day he’ll get one. Then he can tell me all about it. And maybe, just maybe, I’ll finally understand why folks go crazy for these Patek Philippe watches. Maybe it is magic.
I just hope he don’t spend all his money on one of these things. A good watch is a good watch, I reckon. But there’s more to life than just fancy things, like this remake Patek Philippe PP Calatrava 5227G-010 official flagship store thing. There is love and family. That is worth more than any watch. That’s what I always say.
